Susana Pavlou | BIO

Susana Pavlou is an outspoken and committed feminist and a women’s rights activist. She started her career at the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS) in 2005 and has served as Director of the Institute since 2008. She has served as gender equality expert on European networks and organisations including the European Women’s Lobby and the European Institute for Gender Equality. Susana is a tireless advocate to end all forms of violence against women and girls and is currently President of the Advisory Committee for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in the Family.

She holds a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and an MSc in International Relations from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University.
